About the Programme

Aligned with the vision and mission of SOER, the M.A. in Education programme prepares reflective, research-oriented, and socially responsible education professionals. It integrates strong theoretical foundations with practical exposure, fostering critical thinking, innovation, and leadership in diverse educational contexts.

The programme develops competencies in pedagogy, curriculum design, assessment, research, and educational technology, while promoting inclusive, equitable, and value-based education. Semester-wise Journey

Semester 1
Build Foundations

Explore Philosophical, Sociological, and Psychological Foundations of Education. Understand learners, society, and purpose of education. Develop basic research orientation through Research Methodology I.

Outcome: Conceptual clarity about education systems, learner behaviour, and foundational research skills.
Semester 2
Design & Include

Study Curriculum Studies and Assessment for Learning. Learn to design inclusive and equitable learning experiences. Strengthen wellbeing awareness with Mental Health & Wellbeing.

Outcome: Ability to design learner-centred, inclusive curriculum and assessments.
Semester 3
Lead & Research

Learn Educational Administration & Leadership. Build advanced research skills through Research Methodology II & III. Understand institutional functioning and decision-making.

Outcome: Enhanced leadership abilities and strong research execution skills.
Semester 4
Apply & Transform

Explore International Education for global insights. Apply knowledge through Dissertation/Research Project and field engagement. Work on Instructional Design & Pedagogical Innovations.
