Offering a vibrant and creative platform to students, the School of Holistic Development organizes an interesting event “The Awaaz” for all students across the University.
With an open-mic event conducted on campus, students enjoy an exciting ride! The event attracts many students taking a mic to share their talents and their thoughts. With rousing speeches, powerful poems, scintillating songs and laugh-out-loud comedy sketches, the event proves to be a platform where college memories are made!
The event also serves as a promotional event for MIT ADT Talk.
Completely managed by students, it is also a great opportunity for them to network and get on-field experience in event management. The event truly sets the stage for SHD’s mega-event: ADT Talk!

The School of Holistic Development’s promotional event for MIT ADT Talk - the Treasure Hunt, offers students exactly that - a treasure trove of new skills, love and unforgettable memories!
The Treasure Hunt is held in the month of September, with more than three hundred students across the university, excited to be a part of the event. With many teams actively participating, it is thrilling to witness an exciting race to find the treasure - while following enigmatic clues and utilizing a number of different skills.
Students also share their thoughts after the event. The event’s success leads to a lot of discussion and excitement about the upcoming ADT Talk - a super speaker oratorical championship, with exciting prizes!
Public speaking can be a dreadful exercise for many, but at SHD, we change the game. Speech is power. It persuades it converts, it compels, it influences. At SHD, our students are trained to use their voice effectively, and for causes, they believe in!
MIT ADT Talk is a super speaker oratorical championship that offers students with an opportunity to put their public speaking skills to practise. It is a melting pot of various cultures, a launchpad for budding public speakers, a spectacular showcase of talent, and an epitome of incredible public speaking experience. Where learnings last a lifetime, where friendships are born, and memories are made!
A multi-round event open to students across the University, the event receives huge participation. With more than thousand participants, the event spans over a number of days, giving students opportunities to learn from each other as well as gain insight into public speaking through mentoring sessions with professional experts! Emphasis is given to improving the confidence levels of students, adding value to their words, refining body-language and more.
As students progress through different rounds, the difficulty levels keep increasing, with a nail-biting extempore round in the Finals. After going through tough competition against more than thousand students, winners are felicitated with trophies and cash prizes, along with a phenomenal rolling-trophy for the winner’s institute!
With much up for an offer, MIT ADT Talk is the talk of the town for all the right reasons, with students gearing up for another season of healthy competition!
MIT SHD Book Club presents a unique window of opportunity to students to share their love of books and garner the habit of reading. The club is open for all students from the first year, across all institutes. It has been proposed with the aim that students, through the means of books, not only develop their language skills but also learn the important values of life through literature.
It may have been said often, but it’s never said enough: a sound mind in a sound body is the key to happiness!
At MIT School of Holistic Development, the body, mind and soul receive due focus. The Run for Spiritual Well-Being is an invigorating event, where students get together for a cause - mental well-being, along with physical health. In a world that is getting increasingly sedentary, SHD intends to raise awareness of the value of maintaining one’s health, the best asset one can have. For the same, it encourages students to be physically fit, and also participate in the Run, and win exciting trophies and certificates.
The excitement levels have been high throughout the event, with a number of students participating in the race to the finish line. What’s more - students are also joined by faculty, and the mood is one of fun, laughter and good cheer!
A Run to challenge the fitness levels of students and raise awareness about health, it has proved that the reward does not lie at the finish line, but the journey to development has only just begun!
YogNrityam is a prolific performance by students with a fusion of music and yoga, organized by the School of Holistic Development. YogNrityam demonstrates the essence of Yoga dance with appealing music, bringing together several interests of students.
A thrilling exercise, the event helps to move focus to new and unexplored possibilities!
As part of Health Practices programme, MIT SHD organizes International Day of Yoga (IDY) every year on 21st June, in light of the guidelines issued by Ministry of Ayush, UGC, etc. Every year, there is a different theme and SHD organizes various events including yoga sessions, workshops, competitions in the campus as well as outside in nearby villages, corporate, hospitals, etc.
The event is attended by more than two thousand participants who together perform yoga as per the common yoga protocol.

The School of Holistic Development organizes a Creative Arts exhibition involving all second-year students to showcase their artistry!
It is a celebration of the artistic and creative talents and achievements of our students and their dedicated teachers and is a key opportunity to shine light on the importance of the Arts within the curriculum. The sculptures, photographs, sketches, and paintings made by students continue to amaze us!

Students who opt for performative arts like classical and folk dance and classical music get a unique opportunity of putting up a performance at the University’s most prestigious event - Persona Fest! With an audience of thousands, students from all backgrounds come together through the School of Holistic Development, and under the guidance of our faculty, put up an exhilarating performance! full of energy, creativity, and fun, these performances are one of the most awaited events of the Persona Fest!
Under the Creative Arts and Performing Arts Programme, SHD organizes DEEPOTSAV on the occasion of Diwali every year in which all the second year students of creative and performing arts courses showcase their talent based on the elective of CA-PA they enroll to. The event includes singing, dance, drama performances showcasing the Indian culture and tradition in light of Diwali celebration.
A clean person is not one who runs away from dirt but is one who takes the effort to tidy up a dirty environment.
To instill the value of cleanliness in students, SHD organizes a Cleanliness Drive for all Second Year students of MIT ADT University. The students get an opportunity to visit nearby Railway Stations and create awareness about cleanliness and hygiene, practicing what they preach!
Under the foreign language programme, the School of Holistic Development conducts a unique activity – KNOW THE CULTURE which offers every foreign language student at MIT ADT University a platform to know foreign culture, literature, language, etc. Various events such as poster presentation, impromptu speeches, cookery competition, etc. are organized.
