What is the B.Arch. Course Eligibility Criteria?

Students who have completed their 12th standard or its equivalent exam from a recognised board can apply. They should have scored a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. This criterion is relaxed for SC/ST candidates, who need to have a minimum aggregate of 45% marks.

Admission process for B. Architecture Course

Some colleges that offer B. Arch accept NATA scores whereas some accept the scores of WBJEE, UPSEE and other state level exams. Some colleges conduct their own entrance exam, namely: HITSEEE, GITAM, GAT and so on.  The admission process is based on a merit list drawn up on the entrance exam scores. A counseling process is then undertaken by the institute for the final allotment of seats.

There are two main exams to get admission in the Bachelor of Architecture program. These two exams are JEE MAIN Paper 2 and NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture). The Council of Architecture in India is the main authority that controls architecture admission in colleges of architecture, departments of architecture, and schools of architecture.

Fee structure for B. Architecture Course

The fee structure varies from college to college.  The tentative fee range broadly speaking would be between 4 – 6 lacs.

M.Arch – is a 2-year postgraduation degree program. The minimum qualification for this course is 50% in B. Arch from a recognized university and should have a valid score in GATE ( an entrance exam.)

Master of Urban Design (M. Des) in this postgraduate degree course students are taught how to invent and create new designs for customers. The basic qualification is B. Arch with 50 % marks from a recognized university. The candidates should also have a valid score in CEED, NIFT design entrance exams.

M.Planning – Candidates are taught about urban development while adhering to private and public interests. The basic qualification for this is B. Plan with 50% aggregate having passed out from a recognized university. A 55 % aggregate for B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch candidates. In addition to this, they must also possess a valid score in the GATE exam.

M.Arch in Landscape Design – The designers decipher the economic outlook, social statistics and so on before they step into large scale territories.

M.Des in Interior Architecture – In this degree, the students learn how to use internal interventions to change existing structures.
