Do I have to be a coding genius to study CSE?
That’s one of the most common questions I hear from bright minds like you, students from the 12th
standard who are curious about Computer Science but unsure about what it really involves.
Let me tell you a secret: CSE is not just about coding. It’s about solving real-world problems using
smart thinking, teamwork, creativity, and yes, technology. If you've ever wondered how self-driving
cars make decisions or how Siri understands you, then AI and Edge Computing might be the perfect
path for you.
What Is AI, and Why Is It More Than Code?
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is about teaching machines to “think” and “learn” to understand, analyze,
and predict. It’s not just for coders. AI needs problem solvers, ethical thinkers, creative minds, and
strategists.
At MIT ADT, we make AI approachable and exciting. You’ll explore how machines learn from
data, how they recognize images and voices, and how they can explain their own decisions using
Explainable AI (XAI) like ChatGPT does!
What Is Edge Computing?
Imagine a robot surgeon making life-saving decisions. It can’t wait for cloud servers to respond. It
needs to process data on the spot that’s where Edge Computing comes in.
Edge Computing is about bringing intelligence closer to action. Think smart traffic lights, wearable
health monitors, drones, and more. At MIT ADT, you’ll explore how these systems work and help
design the future.
But What If I’m Not a Coder?
Let me introduce you to Anaya, one of our students. She joined CSE without a strong coding
background but loved psychology and wanted to understand how machines could “feel.” With
guidance, she became part of a research team working on emotion recognition using AI.
We support students like Anaya through:
• Project-based learning that starts small and grows with you
• Peer learning groups and mentoring
• Faculty who understand that every student learns differently
We don’t expect you to come in as a tech expert. We help you become one — at your pace.
Real Industry, Real Impact
Our curriculum is shaped with input from industry experts working in companies that use AI and
Edge Computing every day. Through workshops, internships, and guest lectures, you’ll see how your
learning connects to the world.
Our alumni are working as:
• AI Project Managers
• AI Ethics Consultants
• Edge Infrastructure Designers
• Tech Solution Architects
Many of them were once just like you, unsure at first but passionate about making a difference.
The MIT ADT Student Life
At MIT ADT University, learning happens beyond the classroom too. Our student clubs organize
hackathons, ideathons, and AI meetups where you can:
• Build real-world apps with friends
• Present projects to tech leaders
• Even host your own events!
It’s fun, friendly, and full of learning moments.
Ready to Begin?
You don’t need to be a coder, but you need curiosity. You don’t need all the answers, but you need
the courage to ask questions.
If you’re ready to explore how technology can change the world and how you can lead that change,
then AI and Edge Computing at MIT ADT is calling you.
Eligibility: 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
