Higher Education Opportunities & International Collaboration for Aerospace Engineering

Higher education opportunities and international collaboration play pivotal roles in advancing aerospace engineering. Whether through research projects, internships, exchange programs, or dual degree programs, students have numerous avenues to gain valuable experience and contribute to the advancement of aerospace engineering on a global scale. Collaboration between universities and research institutions across borders is common in aerospace engineering. This collaboration can take the form of joint research projects, student exchange programs, or faculty exchanges. International collaboration exposes students to different perspectives and approaches in aerospace engineering and fosters a global network of researchers and professionals. Additionally, students can pursue higher education in India or abroad. Some of the globally recognized international institutions known for offering top-notch master's programs in aerospace engineering are Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), Stanford University (USA), California Institute of Technology (Caltech, USA), University of Cambridge (United Kingdom), Georgia Institute of Technology (USA), Imperial College London (United Kingdom), Southampton University (United Kingdom), Technical University of Munich (Germany), Cranfield University (United Kingdom), Technion University (Israel), and many more.

The Department of Aerospace Engineering, MIT ADT University, Pune

The Department of Aerospace Engineering at MIT-ADT University Pune has academic collaborations with foreign institutions like IT Carlow, SETU-Ireland, Sejong University- South Korea, Germany, Technion University- Israel, Southampton University - UK, Ariel University - Israel, and the Federal University of Vicosa - Brazil. Professors from these institutions guide our students in their projects, internships, and higher education in these institutions. They also give guest lectures to the students to enhance their knowledge and work collaboratively on research projects. Two students from the department received an Irish Research Council scholarship for admission to the MS program at SETU Carlow because of our collaboration (MoU) with IT Carlow, SETU, in IRELAND. The scholarship covers complete tuition fees and in addition, it pays a monthly stipend of 1600 Euros for 2 years. Three more students have submitted research proposals for MS funding in collaboration with their international major project guide in Ireland. Also, some of our faculties in the department have obtained their research (Ph.D./Post Doc.) degrees abroad from the Gyeongsang National University - South Korea, and the Stevens Institute of Technology – USA. Recently, the MIT-ADT University Pune has been in talks with some of these institutions to further strengthen our international collaborations/relations through joint research proposals between faculty members in India and abroad. The university also provides good placement assistance to the students of Aerospace Engineering into reputed industries all around the country. The Department of Aerospace Engineering has signed an MoU with Avex Technology, Dubai, for internship and suitable employment opportunities for our students. In addition, some of the companies where our students got internships/placement are ISRO, DRDO, HAL, Tata Technologies, Tata Boeing Aerospace Ltd., Skyroot, Zeus Numerics, Dassault Reliance Aerospace Ltd., Paras Defence and Aerospace, Pixxel Space India Pvt. Ltd., Bharat Forge Pvt. Ltd., Walchandnagar Industries, Airbus, Cap Gemini, Alten etc.
