The Raj Kapoor Film Club is an initiative taken under the aegis of MIT ADT University with all its constituent institutes as its members. The film club aims towards conducting regular activities pertaining to films and art.

The club was inaugurated on 26th September 2017 at the hands of Hon. Executive President- MIT ADTU, Prof. Dr. Mangesh Karad and Hon. Vice-Chancellor- MIT ADTU, Prof. Dr. Sunil Rai. Others present for the inaugural function were, Dr. Mahesh Deshpande, Registrar, MIT ADTU, Dr. Kishore Ravande, Principal, MIT School of Engineering, Mr. Niranjan Thade- Director, School of Film and Television and Dr. Rekha Sugandhi, Chief Coordinator- Raj Kapoor Film Club. Other dignitaries present were Dr. Asavari Bhave-Gudipudi, Principal, School of Education and Research and Dr. Rajneeshkaur Sachdeo, Dean- Faculty of Engineering. The inaugural event was followed by screening of motivational English film, "The Secret" that was attended by faculty and students.

The Raj Kapoor Film Club will work under MOUs with the Federation of Film Societies of India (FFSI) and the National Films Archive of India (NFAI) to ensure availability of copyright versions and films under various genres.
The club members look after Membership handling, Movie Selection and acquisition, Activity planning and execution, Publicity and marketing, Sponsorships for the smooth functioning of the RKF Club.
