The National Cadet Corps (NCC) at MIT ADT
University plays a pivotal role in nurturing young leaders, promoting physical
fitness, and instilling a sense of duty and service among students. Under the
dynamic leadership of Major Suman Kumari (Retd), the NCC Department has made
significant strides since its establishment, bringing a multitude of activities
and programs designed to enhance the overall development of cadets.
Leadership and Structure
The NCC Department is directed by Director
Major Suman Kumari (Retd). The Care Taking Officer for the Army Wing of the 36
Maharashtra Battalion is Akshata V. Pardeshi. The Care Taking Officer for the
Naval Wing of the 3 Maharashtra Naval Unit is Anjali Samen. The Army Wing was
established in May 2022, followed by the Naval Wing in November 2023. This
structured approach allows the NCC to effectively manage diverse activities
that cater to the holistic development of cadets.

Activities and Training Programs
The NCC at MIT ADT University offers a
comprehensive range of activities designed to equip cadets with essential life
skills, physical training, and leadership qualities.

Drill and Physical Fitness Training:
Cadets participate in rigorous drill exercises aimed at instilling
discipline and improving physical fitness. This training not only enhances
their physical capabilities but also fosters teamwork and camaraderie among
cadets.

Subject Classes:
The curriculum includes special subjects related to defense studies, as
well as common subject classes that cover a range of topics essential for
personal and professional growth.

Personality Development and Leadership Sessions:
Emphasizing soft skills, the NCC conducts personality development
classes that prepare cadets for various life challenges. Leadership development
sessions focus on cultivating essential leadership traits, encouraging cadets
to take initiative and make informed decisions.

CDS, AFCAT, and SSB Training:
Preparing for competitive exams like the Combined Defence Services
(CDS), Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT), and Services Selection Board
(SSB) is a significant component of the training. Cadets receive expert
guidance to help them excel in these assessments, paving the way for future
careers in the armed forces.

Social Extension Outreach Programs:
The NCC MIT ADT University emphasizes the importance of community
service through various outreach programs. Initiatives such as blood donation
camps, river cleaning campaigns, and women empowerment workshops highlight the

Camps and Adventure Activities
The NCC also organizes a variety of
national and international camps, providing cadets with opportunities for
adventure and skill development. Some notable camps include:
- Thal Sainik Camp: Aimed at training
cadets in military tactics and discipline.
- Nau Sainik Camp: Focused on naval skills
and maritime training.
- Republic Day Camp: A prestigious event
where selected cadets represent their units during Republic Day celebrations.
- GV Mavlankar Rifle Shooting Camp:
Enhancing marksmanship and precision shooting skills.
- Scuba Diving Camp: Providing cadets with
hands-on experience in underwater activities, fostering teamwork and bravery.
- Mountaineering Camp: Encouraging physical
endurance and resilience through challenging terrains.
These camps not only enhance the physical
