Grand Launch of Smart India Hackathon 2024 at MIT-ADT University, Pune
Pune: The stage is set for innovation and creativity as the Smart India Hackathon 2024 commenced at MIT Art, Design, and Technology University, Pune. Addressing the young minds, Shailendra Goswami, Chairman and Managing Director of Pushkaraj Group, urged students to seize every opportunity and showcase their ingenuity to the world.
"Opportunities like these are rare. Students should utilize them to unleash their creativity and contribute to solving real-world challenges," Goswami said during the inauguration of the event's hardware edition finals, held at the Raj Kapoor Auditorium.
Organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE, the hackathon aims to empower students to tackle pressing national issues through innovation. The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Abhishek Ranjan, Innovation Officer from the Ministry of Education, Dr. Mohit Dubey, Pro-Vice Chancellor of MIT ADT University, Dr. Mahesh Chopde, Registrar, Dr.Rekha Sugandhi, Nodal Officer and many others.
Driving Innovation to Solve National Issues
Goswami highlighted the pivotal role of such platforms in encouraging research and development to address national challenges. He applauded MIT-ADT University’s efforts in organizing and hosting the event, calling them exemplary. Abhishek Ranjan also commended the university for its facilities and meticulous planning, inspiring students to take full advantage of this platform. The event was held under the guidance of MIT-ADT University's Chancellor Dr. Mangesh Karad and Director Dr. Sunita Karad.
Students from Across India Join Forces
A total of 29 teams from states like Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Puducherry, Karnataka, Kerala, Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu are participating in the competition. Over the next four days, these teams will present their innovative solutions to tackle various real-world problems.
Prime Minister Modi Interacts with Students
Adding to the excitement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the participants on the first day via video conferencing. He encouraged them to actively contribute to the vision of a Developed India@2047 and listened to their innovative ideas and solutions. The Prime Minister answered their questions with enthusiasm, offering valuable insights and motivation.
