Students from the School of Education and Research at MIT Art, Design and Technology University organized a special activity at St. Teresa School, Loni-Kalbhor, on the occasion of World Mental Health Day. They presented a street play on the theme “Sensitivity Towards Mental Health.”
Through the performance, the students highlighted issues such as the mental stress faced by schoolchildren, parental expectations, academic pressure, and various challenges related to students’ mental well-being. The play also emphasized the significant role of parents and teachers in maintaining and nurturing the mental health of young learners.
The performance conveyed valuable messages about controlling mobile phone usage, engaging in regular exercise and pranayama to maintain mental balance, and adopting healthy habits for emotional stability. The students’ impactful performance generated great enthusiasm and curiosity among the young audience present at the event.
The program received special support from St. Teresa School’s Principal, Mr. Vinay Sukul, and Vice-Principal, Mrs. Salvina Sukul. The school’s teaching staff, students, and faculty members from the School of Education and Research actively contributed to the success of the program.
The initiative was organized under the inspiration of Hon. Executive President and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Mangesh Karad and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rajesh S. The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of Registrar Dr. Mahesh Chopde and Dean Dr. Priya Singh. Dr. Neeta Mhawan served as the coordinator of the event.
