MIT-ADT University Bids Farewell to Lord Ganesha with Grandeur

Amid the beats of dhol-tasha and the enthusiastic participation of hundreds of students, MIT Art, Design and Technology University bid an emotional farewell to Lord Ganesha.

The Ganeshotsav celebrations had begun on Wednesday (27th) with the ceremonial installation performed by the university’s Executive President, Prof. Dr. Mangesh Karad. Throughout the festival, students organized a variety of cultural activities. Dance performances, soulful singing, and theatrical acts by the students received overwhelming response from the audience.

The farewell procession commenced from the Institute of Design premises with a captivating performance by the university’s traditional ‘Shivray’ dhol troupe. The event was graced by Registrar Dr. Mahesh Chopde, Director of Sports Prof. Padmakar Phad, Director of Student Welfare Dr. Suraj Bhoyar, along with several faculty members from different departments. On this occasion, students showcased their artistic talent by creating live sketches within minutes, leaving the audience amazed. With vibrant colors and heartfelt emotions, the students finally bid goodbye to their beloved Bappa at the university’s immersion ghat in the evening.
