DGP Dr. Rajkumar Shinde Engages in Dialogue with MIT ADT University Students
Pune: "Police are your friends, not enemies," emphasized Dr. Rajkumar Shinde, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone-5, Pune City, during an interactive session with students at MIT Art, Design, and Technology University. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Shinde urged students to remain free from substance abuse, control their anger, and avoid taking the law into their own hands in any situation. He advised them to call the police helpline 112 for assistance whenever required.
Dr. Shinde commended the students for their role as future engineers and researchers, highlighting their responsibility toward nation-building. He also encouraged them to maintain the university's reputation by staying disciplined and fostering a safe, drug-free, and ragging-free campus environment.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Anuradha Udamale, known as "Lady Singham," added that college life is a pivotal phase in every student’s life. She urged students to focus on hard work, fulfill their parents’ dreams, and avoid impulsive actions that could jeopardize their careers.

Dr. Shinde humorously remarked, "In life, we have three types of mentors – parents, teachers, and police. If the first two fail to guide you, the third mentor, the police, steps in." The audience responded with laughter and applause.
