As the nation gears up to roll out various elements of National Education Policy (NEP 2020), MIT-ADT University has taken a lead to nurture itself as ‘a new-age University for Innovation & Entrepreneurship’. MIT ADT University is an integral part of MAEER’s group of institutions that has been a pioneer in Teaching – Learning for over four decades. It is amongst the leading Government recognized Private University in the city of Pune. MIT-ADT University is a multi-disciplinary university which is famous for its sprawling lush green campus and picturesque location spanning over the large area of 125 acres at the banks of Mula- Mutha river.
As MIT-ADT University aspires to be globally known as a living laboratory to promote Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (RI&E), it was one of the first private university in MH to receive the prestigious Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) by Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, Govt. of India in 2018. Subsequently Ministry of Education (MoE) approved Institution Innovation Council (IIC) was established at the university. To further augment the Innovation & Entrepreneurship culture, Centre of Research, Innovation & Entrepreneurship for Young Aspirants (CRIEYA) was set-up as pre-incubation entity. Over the past few years, an entire value chain of IIC – CRIEYA – AIC has strengthened the Innovation & Entrepreneurship culture at University. National Institution Ranking Framework (NIRF – 2023) has placed MIT- ADT University in the band of top 51 – 100 University in the NIRF – Innovation category. Considering the need of the country aligned to the clarion call of Hon’ble PM for ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and India@2047, MIT-ADT University has embarked upon a journey to be work on the mantra of ‘Viksit University for a Viksit Bharat’.
As a futuristic vision, MIT-ADT University has proposed to build a dedicated “Research and Innovation Park”. Hence it is envisioned that a research park will be the central non-academic unit that will oversee and manage all aspects of research and innovation from concept to product launch in the well-defined focus areas. It would act as a ‘private research park for generating larger societal good’ to serve the community.
As a multi-disciplinary university-based research park, it will create new body of knowledge in the domains of Arts, Design and Humanities besides Technology, Architecture, Indian Knowledge system, Management etc fields. The research park will have the following key objectives:
