Preamble:
The 30-hour long course is designed to be an introduction to the use of AI and machine learning in the field of architecture. It shall present the current state-of-the-art developments, discuss the concepts of neural networks (computing system to execute AI and machine learning), and execute four hands-on exercises on the use of AI in architecture. The open-access nature of the development of AI tools has presented an opportunity to the architecture community to not only borrow the already developed techniques but also to reinterpret them to supplement our tacit knowledge. AI genuinely disrupts the notion of the creative (and consequently, the evaluative) genius and forces a conversation between the mind and the machine in all matters related to creation, ingenuity, production, and efficiency.
