Greetings from School of Computing
It is my pleasure to introduce you to School of Computing which is emerged from School of Engineering (SoE) that has evolved immensely since its inception in 2017, and is slowly but surely growing in stature. The school (SoE) began with bachelors programs (B.Tech), master’s program (M.Tech) and doctoral (Ph.D) programs in six departments of Engineering, i.e Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Aerospace Engineering. The need of expert and knowledgeable resource persons from the field of Computer and Information Technology is growing up exponential in every domain of technology, arts, healthcare, design, etc. So, to add more focus around “Computation and Informatics” a new school SoC was formed.
School of Computing is dedicated to impart knowledge in the field of AIML, IoT, Cyber-security, Block-chain, Cloud Computing, Data Science and Analytics, 3D printing, etc. along with Holistic and Multidisciplinary learning. We would like to nurture new generation of technocrat with sound knowledge of core and contemporary concepts of ‘Computation and Informatics, who are capable to make difference in the society. Our learning activities are diversified which include classroom teaching, project based learning, research and consultancy.
SoC works closely with industry and actively seek the participation of industry leaders in development of course content, delivery and assessment for our students and preparing to reskill/up-skill training to their executive members. The need gap analysis during our industry conclave or industry advisory board helps to identify course offerings, take up research problem statement or consultation / development work in emerging areas. The curriculum is well balanced with 50% of core course and remaining for ability & skill enhancement, major or minor from the chosen field of program.
The faculty team is a blend of experience and young enthusiastic, learned and committed professional across India. Most of them are globally certified in the area of cloud computing, blockchain, cybersecurity etc. They are also research oriented in AIML, Edge computing, IoT, etc. The suitable infrastructure to suit our learning environment is here in our university which help our students to maximize learning opportunity in their selected specialization along with holistic or multidisciplinary courses.
