Policies and Regulations

Academic Policies:

SOL is committed to providing a rigorous academic program that prepares students for successful careers in the legal profession. Academic policies are designed to ensure that students receive a high-quality legal education while maintaining academic integrity and intellectual honesty.

  • Attendance Policy: Regular attendance is essential for academic success. Students are required to attend all classes and seminars, and attendance will be taken at each session. Students who miss more than 25% of the total number of classes will not be allowed to appear for the end-semester examination, as provided in the Academic Ordinance and Examination Ordinance of the University.
  • Grading Policy: SOL follows a rigorous grading policy to ensure that our students receive the best education possible. Grades are awarded based on a combination of factors such as class participation, assignments, mid-term exams, and end-semester exams.
  • Course Load Policy: To ensure that students have enough time to focus on their coursework and extracurricular activities, we have set limits on the number of courses that can be taken per semester. A maximum of five courses can be taken in a semester.

Disciplinary Policies:

SOL has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of misconduct or indiscipline. We believe in creating a safe and respectful environment for all students and faculty. Any violation of disciplinary policies will be dealt with strictly by the disciplinary committee constituted as per the provision of the First Ordinance of the university.
