Parents are encouraged to come along with you to the campus during the interview. It will be a good opportunity for them to see the campus and the type of life you are going to lead for the complete course duration. Unfortunately, MANET cannot accommodate guests, but there are several convenient and reasonably priced hotels in the neighboring areas.

Yes, you can do on the day of admission round. However, your vision must be 6/6 without spectacles for admission to B.Sc. Nautical Science Course and you have to clear the eyesight test according to the norms.
Marine Engineering course trains you for the engine side of the ship while the Nautical Science course trains you for the deck or navigation of the ship along cargo handling.
Both courses lead to rewarding careers in shipping industry. It is choice of individual to work on the deck or on engine side.

Yes, Candidates for the B.Sc. Nautical Science Course must have unaided 6/6 vision in both eyes without spectacles and there has to be no color blindness. Candidates in their own interest, it would be prudent to get the eyesight checked from a qualified Eye specialist as per the eyesight requirement of the courses. This will help candidates to avoid any last-minute embarrassment during the admission round.
