You can apply online after the notification for PhD admission is issued by the university through website. However notification in each discipline will depend on number of seats available for admission.
Fee for the PhD application form and entrance test is Rs. 3000/- (Non-refundable, it can be paid online or by cash).
The time duration for the test will be of 2.5 hours. It would be online proctored based examination. Test will comprise of two sections. The first section will include the general aptitude and the second section will be subject-specific. Paper I will comprise of 50 questions (Each carry 1 mark, 60 minutes) and Paper II will have 100 questions (Each carry 1 mark, 90 minutes)
The syllabus for the entrance test consists of 50% of General Aptitude and 50% shall be subject-specific. Syllabus for the PhD entrance test will be based on content defined by University Grants Commission for NET UGC subjects. For Engineering GATE/GPAT syllabus will be followed.

Qualifying in entrance test alone does not entitle the candidate for the admission to PhD programme. He or she has to also qualify the interview. The combined merit of entrance test and interview will constitute the final merit list of candidates eligible for admission to PhD programme. However, the candidate has to fulfil all other eligibility criteria and requirements for the admission as per university norms.
The PhD entrance test is only valid for the notified advertisement of academic year 2021-22.
