As the Director of Research and Development, I consistently encourage scholars to pursue research that is industry-oriented, socially relevant, and practically implementable. I emphasize that every research effort should contribute meaningful solutions to real-world problems and create value for society, guiding researchers to align their academic work with current industry needs to ensure lasting impact and cultivate a culture of innovation, responsibility, and purposeful research. True to the clarion call by our Honourable Prime Minister for Aatmanirbhar Bharat, MIT Art Design and Technology University, Pune (MIT ADT University) envisions the development of an applied research and innovation-driven academic environment.

In harmony with the New Education Policy, which stresses interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary education, the University leverages its diverse strengths across Arts, Design, and Technology through its various constituent schools. Further aligned with national initiatives such as IMPRINT (Impacting Research Innovation and Technology) and the National Research Foundation (NRF), MIT ADT University is actively shaping a holistic research and innovation ecosystem. With a commitment to engaging all relevant stakeholders - including students, faculty, scholars, industry partners, and government departments - the University focuses on building a robust, future-ready research culture that advances meaningful knowledge creation and societal progress.

Academic Research / Sponsored Research / Consultancy Engagements

As the outcome of Research is aimed towards public good and community building, MIT ADT University is actively collaborating with national and global partners to establish Domain and Technology-led Centres of Excellence (CoEs). Each CoE is envisioned as a catalyst for strengthening the Research and Innovation culture across the University, enabling scholars to work on transformative ideas that address societal challenges. The University is also partnering with international institutions to learn, share, and adopt global best practices, thereby benchmarking its ecosystem against world-class research environments. An IPR Cell has been established to work closely with scholars and facilitate timely and efficient IP filing. Alongside this, a dedicated Technology Transfer Office (TTO) is functioning in tandem with industry partners to commercialize technologies and accelerate the Go-to-Market (GTM) journey of various research outcomes.

As a new-age and aspirational University committed to building an Applied Research and Innovation driven ecosystem, MIT ADT University warmly welcomes all stakeholders to be part of this collective journey.
