The Media and Entertainment Industry in India is growing faster than the country's galloping GDP! The MIT School of Film and Theatre was established in 2015 (School of Film & Theatre then) to fulfill the upcoming needs of this sector.
MIT School of Film and Theatre, Rajbaug, Pune is established under the MIT Art, Design and Technology University Act, 2015 (Govt. of Maha University Act No. XXXIX of 2015). We envisage a position for Indian films and theatre practitioners, where they will be considered as
the benchmark of quality in cinema and theatre across the globe. Recently, Our student Film ‘PARIAH’ has received the National Award (2022) and our student film DIVINE CANOPY and KOYTA received the NCERT award for the best films, through which
MIT School of Film and Theatre has now marked its path on the global platform.
The Department of Theatre is focused on Practical as well as Theoretical aspects of Theatre. We introduce students to different techniques and methods including rigorous training in Acting, Theatre Design and Direction.
Together, MIT School of Film and Theatre, Pune, is committed to providing advanced training and nurturing for knowledge-driven, visionary film and theatre practitioners. We create a platform for students to outgrow their own limitations in the process of transforming into Skilled Artists.
