  • About: The programme will span over eight semesters instead of six in light of National Education Policy. You will not only be able to major in English but also get to choose a minor subject. There will be a variety of ability enhancement courses, skills enhancement courses, value-added courses and electives to choose from. In your fourth year, you will be able to either choose research or courses worth 12 credits. Accordingly, you will be awarded either B.A. (Honours) English with Research or B.A. (Honours) English. Internship will also be a compulsory component of the programme structure. There will be multiple entry and exit points throughout the duration of the course.   • Aim: Through B.A. Honours in English, we intend to provide a thorough grounding in Literature written in the English language from the earliest period to the present day. We want students think creatively and analytically about the English language and its literature. The course is not confined to literature produced only in the British Isles but also take into account the local and global reach of the language and the diversity and range of all its literary manifestations. We help you to find the key that unlocks the door to your true potential.
