Environmental bioengineering is the branch of bioengineering that applies engineering principles of design and analysis to addresses environmental problems, such as the removal of pollution, waste management, renewable energy generation or biomass production by biological treatment process. The students will be sensitized and trained in real world problems especially in the Indian context for maintaining the ecological sanctity. Accordingly the course has been designed with a very practical view to inspire young graduate students/ young bachelor degree holders to pursue a career in sustainability engineering at our esteemed institute endowed with good teaching and research facilities in biotechnology, bioinformatics and biomedical engineering. Industrial biotechnology, a major subcategory of biotechnology involves bio-based production of pharmaceuticals, enzymes, nutrients, eco-friendly polymers, biofuels etc. Recent advances in industrial biotechnology permits new applications for biomass waste for resource conservation, emissions reduction and circularity making it an environmentally and economically sustainable technology. With the exponential growth in this sector there is a high demand for skilled manpower for research and development, production, and sample testing facilities.
At MIT School of Bioengineering Sciences & Research, we offer M.Sc (2 years) in Industrial Biotechnology. The course aims to provide fundamental insights into the discipline, promote cutting-edge research and provide industrially relevant skills to the student.

Clinical research is a branch of medical science that investigates new treatments, drugs, medical devices, and procedures to determine their safety and effectiveness in humans. It involves systematic studies, including clinical trials, where participants are monitored under controlled conditions. The School of Bioengineering Sciences & Research aims to impart a two year PG program for the students aspiring to a career in the field of clinical research.
The program is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the field of clinical trials, drug development, regulatory affairs, and ethical considerations. The program includes hands-on training, internships with CROs (Contract Research Organizations), hospitals, or pharmaceutical companies. This program will open several avenues in the field of development of healthcare interventions like drugs and medical devices. On successful completion of the program, the candidates can work as Clinical Research Associates (CRAs), Regulatory Affairs Specialists, Clinical Data Managers, or in roles related to drug safety and medical writing.
The program focuses on equipping students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for conducting and managing clinical trials. It lays emphasis on some key areas like Clinical Trials and site management, Data Management in Clinical Research, National and global regulatory guidelines, Pharmacovigilance and Safety Monitoring, SAS Programming and electronic data capture systems etc. By the end of the program the students will develop comprehensive knowledge of clinical research, regulatory and ethical compliance, trial design, execution and data analysis, and pharmacovigilance. This program is ideal for graduates in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, and related fields who wish to pursue careers in clinical research, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare industries.
